Introduction
This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. It applies to code24.io and any of its subdomains.
Code24 conducts its activities in strict compliance with the requirements set in GDPR - Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of this data.
Your subscription with code24.io implies consent to our privacy policy and the privacy policies of our partner payment processors and VPS providers.
What information do we collect?
There are multiple types of information that are collected:
- Contact: Your contact information such as name, email, and phone number
- Service Data: You provide as part of your service such as your files for data storage service and emails for email server service.
- Service Logs: Servers logs which collect information about access information such as IP address and service operational information.
- Correspondence: email communication with customers
Your payment information is collected through third party payment processors and it never touches our servers.
How do we use your information?
We use your contact information only to contact you in regards to your service such as subscription status, payment reminders, notitifications about maintenance and outages. Server logs are only used to improve our service and prevent abuse or prohibited use. Your service data will be strictly used for your service-related opreations such as backup and encryption. We generally maintain email correspondence for communicating with you and for legal purposes in case of disputes.
What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?
Your subscription with code24 is a binding contract where you hire us to provision servers to operate to meet your requested services. We meet that obligation by renting cloud-based infrastructure from our partner VPS providers and utilizing that infrastructure for provisioning servers to meet our contractual agreement with you.
When do we share your personal data?
We will never misuse, sell, rent, share or give away your information to any third parties unless when compelled by law. You are advised to refer to the privacy policy of our partner VPS providers in regards to how they process your data.
Where do we store and process your personal data?
We store and process your contact information that we collected from you in the United States. Your service data and logs are stored on servers provided by our partner VPS providers in the United States and Europe.
How long do we keep your data for?
We maintain your contact information and service data while you have an active subscription and up to no more than 30 days after the end of billing period of cancelled/expired subscriptions. This is to allow customers to download their data. We may keep email correspondence indefinitely. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Older logs are permanently deleted.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access your data. You have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in your data. You can access, correct, update or request deletion of all your information at any time, either directly from your web service interface or by contacting us via email.

Use of cookies, analytics, and tracking
We may use a small number of cookies to keep track of authenticated sessions. We do not provide any third party cookies and makes no effort to track you. You can always delete stored cookies from your browser whenever you wish. If you don’t want to accept our cookies, you can use Incognito Mode or Private Browsing mode as supported on all modern Web browsers. We do not support old Web browsers without this feature. We don’t display annoying cookie warnings (even if you’re in Europe) because this practice is outdated and irrelevant now that modern browsers can browse without accepting cookies.
We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics/tracking on our site.
Third party services
We use Stripe and Globee for payment processing. We currently use the following VPS providers Vultr, Linode, AWS, OVH, and Contabo for provisioning your cloud servers for your services.
Changes To Our Privacy Policy
Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail. However, we advise that you check this page regularly to keep up to date with any necessary changes.
